This policy applies to Perfumers Vault 2, managed by M24 Media Ltd.
Perfumers Vault 2 ("we", "our", "the App"), managed by M24 Media Ltd, is committed to protecting your privacy. This page explains what information the App collects and how it is used.
Data Collection
We do not collect any data when you use the Perfumers Vault 2 app except anonymous telemetry data automatically collected by Apple and sent to us regarding basic app usage information.
CloudKit and iCloud
Perfumers Vault 2 uses Apple CloudKit to sync data between your Apple devices (iPhone, iPad and Mac). Your data is stored in a private database, which is encrypted with an account-based key. Therefore, we do not have access to any data stored in your iCloud account.
We also do not have access to your Apple ID - only a unique identifier that is scoped to just our app. It is not possible to track your identity between apps with this identifier. We do not have access to the data you have stored in your Perfumers Vault 2 CloudKit container.
The only data we have access to regarding your use of Perfumers Vault 2 are crash reports and anonymised telemetry data sent to us by Apple. We do not share or sell this data.
To delete data stored in your private CloudKit container, use the settings app on your device. This will wipe all of your Perfumers Vault 2 data across all devices upon syncing.
For more information visit Apple's privacy policy.
No account or login required
The App does not require or provide any account creation or login. You can use the App without registering or signing in.
Subscription Management (RevenueCat)
Perfumers Vault 2 uses RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat is a third-party service that helps us process subscription data and manage user entitlements across platforms.
When you make a subscription purchase, RevenueCat may collect and process certain information related to your purchase, including:
- Your Apple ID or Google account (in an anonymized form)
- Purchase receipts and transaction details
- Subscription status and entitlement information
- Device and app version information
This data is used solely for subscription management, validation, and providing you with access to premium features. RevenueCat does not have access to your personal information stored within the Perfumers Vault 2 app, such as your formulas, ingredients, or notes.
Third-Party Subscription Service
For detailed information about how RevenueCat handles subscription data, please review their policies:
You can manage your subscription directly through your Apple ID account settings (iOS/Mac) or your Google Play account settings (Android). RevenueCat processes subscription data in accordance with Apple's App Store and Google Play guidelines and their own privacy policies listed above.
AI Features (PV AI)
PV AI is available in PRO mode only. When you use PV AI features, your queries and formula data are processed by Google's Gemini AI to provide intelligent suggestions and guidance. Please refer to the links below for how Google manages that data. We do not use your data to train AI models or share it with other users.
Additional Costs May Apply
PV AI requires a separate Google Gemini API subscription purchased directly from Google. This is an additional cost not included in your Perfumers Vault 2 subscription. Usage charges are determined by Google and billed to your Google account. M24 Media Ltd has no control over Google's pricing and is not responsible for any costs incurred through your use of the Gemini API.
Third-Party AI Service
By using PV AI features, you agree to Google's terms and privacy policies:
You can choose to disable AI features at any time in the app settings if you prefer not to use external AI services.
PubChem Integration
Perfumers Vault 2 integrates with PubChem, a free chemistry database maintained by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), to provide chemical information and molecular data for ingredients. When you use PubChem search features, your queries are sent to PubChem's servers to retrieve chemical data.
This integration allows you to:
- Search for chemical compounds and their properties
- Access molecular structure information
- Retrieve safety and regulatory data
- View chemical identifiers and synonyms
Third-Party Database Service
PubChem is operated by the U.S. National Library of Medicine. For information about their data policies:
When using PubChem features, your search queries are transmitted to PubChem's servers. We do not store or have access to your PubChem search history. All interactions with PubChem are subject to their terms of use and privacy policies.
IFRA Integration
Perfumers Vault 2 integrates with the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) website to provide automatic import of fragrance ingredient safety standards and usage guidelines. This feature allows you to stay up-to-date with the latest IFRA standards and regulations.
The IFRA integration supports:
- Auto-import of IFRA standards and amendments
- Ingredient usage restrictions and limitations
- Category-specific concentration limits
- Allergen declarations and requirements
- Regulatory compliance information
Third-Party Regulatory Organization
When using IFRA auto-import features, data is retrieved from IFRA's official website. For information about their policies:
When you use the auto-import feature, requests are made to IFRA's website to retrieve the latest standards and regulatory information. We do not store or have access to your IFRA browsing history. All data retrieved is stored locally on your device and in your private iCloud account.
