Getting Started

Getting started is easy! Simply download the app from the App Store and follow these steps:

  1. Import the IFRA library for compliance checking
  2. Start adding your ingredients to build your inventory
  3. Create your first formula using our intuitive formula builder
  4. Explore advanced features like PV AI assistant

Absolutely! Your privacy and data security are our top priorities. All your data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers or any third parties for storage.

Local Data Storage

  • • All formulas, ingredients, and personal data stay on your device
  • • Optional iCloud sync uses your private, encrypted iCloud account
  • • No servers, no external databases, no third-party storage
  • • You maintain complete control over your data

When you enable iCloud sync, your data is encrypted and stored in your personal iCloud account - we cannot access it. Read our Privacy Policy for complete details.

Features & Usage

PV AI is your intelligent assistant powered by Google Gemini AI that helps with formula creation, ingredient suggestions, and perfumery guidance. PV AI is available in PRO mode only and requires a separate Google Gemini API subscription. PV AI can:

  • Suggest complementary ingredients for your formulas
  • Provide creative inspiration and formula modifications
  • Help with IFRA compliance questions
  • Offer technical guidance on perfumery techniques
  • Analyze your formulas and suggest improvements

Additional Costs May Apply

PV AI requires a separate Google Gemini API subscription purchased directly from Google. This is not included in your Perfumers Vault 2 subscription. Usage charges are set by Google and billed to your Google account.

Account Requirement

To use PV AI features, you'll need to have a Google account and agree to Google's terms of service. The AI processing is handled by Google's Gemini AI service.

Note: PV AI is an optional feature - you can use all other app features without it.

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store account settings. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period, and you'll retain access to all premium features during that time. After cancellation, you'll still have access to basic features and your existing data.

Yes! We offer a free trial with the yearly subscription plan so you can explore all the premium features before committing. The trial includes full access to PV AI, unlimited formulas, IFRA compliance checking, and all export features. You can start your free trial directly from the app.

Perfumers Vault 2 requires:

  • iOS 17.6 or later
  • iPhone, iPad, or iMac M1 or later
  • At least 100MB of free storage space
  • Internet connection for initial setup and AI features
  • iCloud account for data synchronization (optional)
  • Export a complete database backup file
  • Use the built-in backup and restore features
  • Export individual formulas and ingredient lists

Recommendation: We recommend performing regular manual backups of your complete database, especially before major app updates.
